Mercedes-Maybach has introduced its exclusive SL 680 Monogram Series, bringing new levels of performance and luxury to the high-end roadster segment. Designed as an elite variant of the Mercedes-AMG SL, the new model combines signature Maybach craftsmanship with powerful engineering and cutting-edge technology. The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, delivering 430 kW (585 hp) between 5,500 and 6,500 rpm.

The engine produces a peak torque of 800 Nm, available from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm, ensuring high responsiveness across a wide range of speeds. Power is distributed through the fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system, paired with the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, which enables smooth gear changes and enhanced driving dynamics. This luxury roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h. Despite its performance credentials, the SL 680 Monogram Series maintains a focus on comfort and elegance, showcasing the hallmark attributes of the Maybach brand.

The model is also fitted with rear-axle steering, allowing a tighter turning circle of 12.35 meters for improved maneuverability in urban settings. In terms of size, the vehicle measures 4,697 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,358 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The luggage compartment offers a capacity ranging from 213 to 240 liters, depending on configuration and optional equipment. The kerb weight of the vehicle stands at 2,050 kg, while the maximum gross vehicle weight is 2,195 kg, with a payload capacity of 145 kg.

Fuel efficiency and emissions align with the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standards. The combined energy consumption is recorded at 13.6 liters per 100 kilometers, with CO₂ emissions at 309 grams per kilometer, placing the vehicle in emissions class G. These figures reflect the vehicle’s high-performance orientation and luxurious design focus. The SL 680 Monogram Series is not only engineered for dynamic driving but also features bespoke design details and advanced comfort systems exclusive to the Maybach sub-brand.

While performance figures highlight its mechanical prowess, its visual presentation and technological sophistication reinforce its positioning as a premium lifestyle vehicle. Mercedes-Maybach continues to define the ultra-luxury automotive segment with vehicles that blend performance, innovation, and prestige. The SL 680 Monogram Series stands as the latest testament to the brand’s commitment to excellence in engineering and design. – By MENA Newswire News Desk.
