MOSCOW, RUSSIA / RankWire.AI / – Russia’s exports excluding resources and energy surpassed $96 billion during the first seven months of 2026. This figure represents an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. The category encompasses goods outside Russia’s traditional energy and raw-material exports. The latest data extend the growth observed during the first half of the year, offering a broader perspective on Russia’s manufactured and value-added exports abroad.

Russia non-energy exports rise 8% to over $96 billion
SME exporters contributed $15.9 billion to Russia’s non-resource trade through July 2026.

Small and midsize enterprises contributed $15.9 billion to the overall export total from January through July, accounting for approximately 17% of all non-resource and non-energy exports during this period. Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov stated that about 42,700 small and midsize firms are now involved in export activities. Additionally, SMEs submitted 1,042 of the 1,341 applications for the 2026 Exporter of the Year awards, representing entries from 76 Russian regions across all eight federal districts.

For January through June 2026, Russia reported $58.8 billion in industrial non-resource exports. This compares with $57.1 billion recorded during the first half of 2025, reflecting approximately 3% growth within the industrial sector. Several manufacturing categories saw increased overseas sales during this period. The first-half figures provide a more detailed breakdown of the industries that contribute to Russia’s broader non-resource and non-energy export total.

Manufacturing sectors achieve higher overseas sales

Exports of chemical products grew by 5.3% in the first half compared to the previous year, while shipments of mineral and chemical fertilizers increased by 10.4% over the same timeframe. Metallurgy and precious metals exports gained 5%, and light industry experienced a 25% rise. Exports in pharmaceuticals, perfumes, and cosmetics advanced by 11%. These figures represent industrial products within Russia’s non-resource and non-energy export classification, comparing January through June with the same period in 2025.

Russia has established a target of $155.25 billion for total non-resource and non-energy exports in 2026. Of this, $116.95 billion is allocated for industrial goods. The country recorded $163.7 billion in this export category during 2025. Consequently, the 2026 goal is set below last year’s total. These targets are part of the International Cooperation and Export national project, which covers manufactured goods, agricultural products, and export support services across Russia.

National program aims for $248.1 billion in exports by 2030

A long-term initiative also targets $248.1 billion in non-resource and non-energy exports by 2030, representing a 67% increase over the 2023 baseline used by the program. The majority of this target, $192.9 billion, comes from industrial exports. The export support system incorporates digital services to assist companies engaged in international trade. Progress is monitored across industrial and agricultural exports, measuring development against government-set nominal goals.

The recent seven-month results show Russia’s non-resource and non-energy exports exceed $96 billion, with SMEs responsible for $15.9 billion. Industrial exports for the first half reached $58.8 billion, with gains across chemicals, fertilizers, metals, light industry, and pharmaceutical-related goods. All figures are expressed in U.S. dollars. The full-year 2026 target remains at $155.25 billion for the wider non-resource category, with a specific goal of $116.95 billion for industrial exports.
